We need to act fast to build a WORLD WHITE WEB

This is HODA’s goal and the concept we propose to the greatest possible number of individuals and players who wish to devote time and concrete action to this end.

  • The web we inhabit today is not Dark, but it’s undoubtedly Grey: the original goals of freedom and increased individual autonomy today threaten to be mere smoke and mirrors to disguise the exact opposite.
  • Individual choice is and always will be increasingly guided and shaped from the outside: this is what awaits us in a world of data and artificial intelligence which people do not possess and in which they are not true protagonists.
  • This paradox must be avoided. The stakes are extremely high, higher than ever before in human history, because this is about information capillarity and an unprecedented potential for manipulation to an extent never seen or imagined.

It is therefore essential for engineers, software designers and firms to change their approach: to create inclusive tools, totally on the side of individuals, which can increase their awareness, protect their freedom, dignity and value, and do everything possible to enhance their capacity and independence to choose, which is ultimately the only true definition of freedom.

More complicated and nuanced scenarios, plenty of data but little information = highly complex marketing challenges: the identification of shifting, changeable target audiences which are large but accurate, the optimisation of actions in situations of fragmented choices, the measurement of returns on multichannel actions

The world of data: growth of their value and sensitivity to the topic
Individuals have little awareness of the value of their data – value for which remuneration is practically non-existent for individuals – and how much it affects their independence, freedom and dignity, although the situation is changing rapidly.

The firm’s composition reflects these principles: Hoda’s equity is the hands of the workers and the Company has adopted a principle of involvement, of a new generation of collaborators, based on merit.

Hoda can also count on partners from industry, finance and Work for Equity, who believe in the HODA project and hold part of the firm’s equity, in agreement with the principle of sharing most of the company shares between workers and the availability of the minority of shares for other partners.
